Sound & Motion Studios are the sponsor of our R20 000 recording contract. Here is a little bit of info about them:

Welcome to Sound & Motion Studios, an international recording, mixing and post production solution.  Our philosophy is quite simple. By taking the concept of a traditional studio, embracing the advancements of new media technologies and combining the warmth of analogue with the precision and convenience of digital, we are able to accommodate any kind of project. We strive to support South African music by offering a very affordable platform for bands and artists to be able to produce their talent at the highest level, accessing our specialist skill, equipment and great sounding spaces!

Music production, albums, mastering, television, Film, surround cinema, live broadcast, reality TV, adverts and even forensics have all passed through our studios and we look forward to the next challenge.

Sound & Motion Cape Town is a vibrant 3 floor facility with a large music studio “lilac room”, a dedicated mastering suite and “green room,” a live room and  a surround cinema-configured digital mix studio.

On the middle floor is our newly opened “Lite” suite called SML “Sound and Motion Lite” where we offer very affordable rates for budget recordings (demo’s) with special access to a host of select class “A” gear from the Full studio (lilac room)

For those needing to unwind we also have a client bar serving coffee and cocktails, a Foosball table, a Nintendo Wii and a selection of TV series and movies in our client lounge. The whole building is also a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Sound and Motion Johannesburg has just gone HD! Based in Newtown, this dynamic area  has a history of the arts and culture in South Africa and provides a great atmosphere for creativity and excellence.  Our Protools HD music suite has a wonderful live room and is adjoined by a surround mixing suite for post production. Also containing a list of “A” class gear, the studio follows the passion for analogue front end mixed with the precision of digital and boasts some great accolades and client credits!
